The Rules as they stand were meant to be broken #Startup #Entrepreneur

Kim Lavine - Rule Breaker

by Kim Lavine

The road to success is choked up with people standing in line for permission, so get out of line and go get what's yours.

If you’re going to get ahead in this new world you’re going to have to be willing to break the rules.

I believe in breaking some rules, and encouraging my kids to do it, too. Of course, other people don't like rule breakers, mostly because they don't.

It takes courage to break rules

Rule breakers fearlessly embrace life and risks that most people want to, but don't. Rule breakers are passionate people, and the world is jealous of passionate people. The same is true for people following their passions in business, defying the status quo and breaking the rules that most people wish they had the courage to. Rule breakers will always attract criticism, but you can't let that stop you from doing what you love.

What people think about you as you’re out there working outside of the status quo shouldn’t be a factor in what you decide to do daily to get your share of success.

The rules as they stand were meant to be broken

If you play by the rules as they are currently written, you’re not going to get anywhere. I’m going to be honest with you right up front: You’re going to make a lot of people nervous by breaking the rules. Some of them are undoubtedly going to be your family and friends. Some of them are going to try and get you to stop, to conform, to fit back into the system. You’re just going to have to learn to tune them out.

Passionate People Rule

When passion walks in the room, everyone stands up. Passion is the spark that lights the gasoline that is life. Passion is what everyone wants and if you have it, people will either want to be like you or be with you.

In a meeting or a party or in any group, the people with passion in their eyes are the people whom everyone else is listening to and watching. They’re the leaders.

Everyone looks to passionate people for what’s next, because their passion leads us to horizons few have the vision or the courage to explore.

People are not born passionate

Passion is the process by which you manifest your dreams, and far too many people in this world have given up on their dreams or sacrificed them for a comfortable way of life or a secure job. That’s why passionate people rule; they’re making their dreams happen.

Entrepreneurs are passionate people

They’re not content to sit around and let life happen to them; they’re in control of making life happen.  That’s why some people in this world are jealous of passionate people.

We’re taught early to go to school, get good grades, get a good degree, then a good job with a good title in a good career track. Becoming an entrepreneur means learning to value ideas and passion over degrees and job titles.

Entrepreneurs are working outside of the system

They’re taking risks most people only dream of. They’re using their brains and their hearts and their vision to become more realized people every day.

People running on passion are 100 percent alive, using every single capacity God has given them to live life to the limit on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual spectrum every day.

No wonder some people are jealous of passionate people

You don’t need those people.

A photographer entrepreneur asked me a week ago who would I recommend as a mentor... hands down I said you. She asked why. I told her heart-centered women entrepreneurs inspire & move me and that's Kim Lavine. Thank you for being you, for genuinely sharing your heart and passion and for inspiring us to Pursue Our Dreams!

Dear Kim, I admire your philosophy for getting adhead in life. There's no reason to be jealous of people who are passionate like you said alot of people were. People who are jealous of winners in life, the go~getters, are just envious and admirers of those who excel. I so desperately wanted to be one of the winners this year, I have been planning it for the past two years, you know timing it right with my kids schedules, having them finally all in school so I could focus on my success and passion to be independent and have a business and work on my plan to be rich from it some day. I couldn't have been more ready. Then in February of this year my entire world came crashing down on me. My 16 year old son passed out of know where. He was alive before going to bed with no complaints one night and gone in the morning. Well, you can just imagine my life since then, you being a mom yourself. Long story short I have lost the desire to be anything except in heaven with my son, but I can,t, I have a 5 and 7 year old who need a mother even though I don't feel like much of one. My son Dillon was my rock my everything and now he's gone. I feel like he took my heart and soul with him and I am left on this planet void of emotion, desire, passion and capable of just existing. If you have any ideas of how to get the me back that I once was outside of the obvious, counceling, be around family and friends, I sure would welcome it. Thanks, Kimberly Baker
